October 11, 2012

So today has been awesome. It started out with my extremely boring English class.. It's an hour and a half of an older woman talking, without stopping. It's sort of a joke in our class, we all hate life when we are in the class. My professor just talks and talks and talks.. She barely breathes. Enough of that, it bores me just thinking about it.

By the way I'm listening to an amazing song right now. Running up that hill by Placebo. I italicized it to make it stand out :)

After class I went to breakfast with my roommate.. and when we got back to the dorm I finished my UNIV 1010 class. It's a mandatory class that we have to take at our university. i was so happy. it made my day!

Later on in the day, after I jumped around in joy.. My friend and I went to a local art gallery. I love art galleries, they're so calming to me. I had been to this gallery before and the owner recognized me, which is amazing. It gives me an advantage when it comes to getting my work put up there. The owner said that he has too many photographer up right now :/ Which is a little upsetting but I'll just keep going in and making friends, that way, when he does have space, he'll think of me!

Then my friend and I went to the cute little coffee shop on Main St. and I got my favorite coffee. the thing I love about living in a small town is that people remember your name. The barista called me Samantha. And we found out that they are having live music tonight at 11. Which I'm so going to.

I had to drop my friend off at a building on campus, she was 2 minutes late for her office hours.. Oops. When I got back I talked to one of my other roommates and we ended up watching one of my favorite foreign films: The Host ( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vaxwv1rndPI ) and we went to Krave during the middle of it.

Krave is a frozen yogurt place..I didn't think I liked frozen yogurt, turns out I do. I didn't bring my purse though so I couldn't get any.. Oh well, I'll bring it next time.

After we got back and finished the movie it was almost time for my favorite show! The Vampire Diaries! The series premiere.. It was awesome.. Although it is not fun when Damon Salvatore is not in HD. HUGE sad face.

Hmm, well one of my roommates, Kelsey, is sitting next to me waiting for me to finish typing so we can watch another amazing movie...

Brother's: ( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7xYyCCjLpZs ) I love this movie..a nd what makes it better is that it has my favorite band OF ALL TIME sorta featured in it... U2. Fantastic band, and even better live if I may add..

Well, time to go! Bye Bye!

Week 3 - Good Morning!

Goooooood Morning! I'm going to come right out with it. I have not been doing great at getting up early. That's because over the weekend, I decided that what I wanted to do with my extra time, was cuddle with my fiancé. It was late mornings from there. BUT! Here I am, at 6:30am, writing to you. It's not all bad! I'm up earlier than usual. Positive thinking right? Had an amazing weekend, had a photoshoot with some women I didn't really know and we pretended we were in a Coven for Halloween, I'll attach some stuff for you to look at. 👀 And as always life is busy busy busy, but I'm choosing to look at it as "productive".  I always like ticking something off my list!  Next list to start working on, my wedding planning list. Who would have thought there was SO much to getting married! 😅 I hope you enjoyed the small snippet I shared! Comment and tell me what you thought!

Not Like The Movies

College is not what people think it is. In movies it's shown as one BIG party. Lots of hot people, drinking and parties. My experience in college has been somewhat like a party but nothing like college in movies. When I first moved into my dorm I expected my roommate to be my best friend and go everywhere with me. That is not the case, my roommate and I talk, but we don't go everywhere together. Honestly sometimes it can even be awkward when we are left in the same room together. My first night at the dorm I met the other girls that I share a suite with. They looked like the typical preppy girls, mean girls if I may. Turns out that they weren't as bad as I had originally thought they were. That night we went to a tye dye party. We were given a T-shirt and we could go dip our shirts in big buckets of dye. There was music blasting and people dancing in the bright colorful lights. "This is college" I thought. This is going to be so much fun. The dance was ...

Life Changes

The year 2018 was not a good year for me. Two things that will send someone into a crippling depression happened to me... As I am still healing from this most recent one, I don't want to go into much detail. But for the rest of this post to make sense you'll need to know that Vincent and I are no longer together, after 8 years.. As time goes by I expect I will be able to open up about it. The past few years I have been stagnant. I still started a Master's program and got a new job as a manager, but I was just existing. I wasn't actually living my life. At the beginning of October I started a 6 week fitness challenge at a CrossFit gym in town. I lost 15 pounds and began to love myself again. But I still wasn't happy. It took the earth shattering, heart breaking, event to make me realize that I needed to do something about the way I have been living. I was one of those people who got up, went to work, came home and sat on the couch watching TV and waiting for the ...
