Daylight

Hey guys! I'm sorry it has been so long.

I got really busy with, uhm.. I'm not entirely sure.

I would say school but I haven't been doing anything responsible..

Guess I kinda hit this depression that took me off the grid for a while, I'm not letting myself go any further into my black hole though.

I am making myself be productive, I quit my job and now I have to get back on the horse'o life!

So! I've decided that the main reason my depression hit is because I haven't been getting sleep or eating healthy. Ive been wasting my time on tv shows like The Vampire Diaries, Doctor Who, The Walking Dead, Revenge and Cutthroat Kitchen.

No more tv for me, well, in moderation. I am pulling an all nighter, that way I can get my sleep schedule back on track. Tonight I will but studying and cleaning my apartment, I let it get out of hand.

Also! You guys might enjoy this, I am going to try out new ways of studying to see which ways work the best.

I've already started. All day Sunday I listened and took notes to my business law professor's lectures, that he posted online. Now, I'm going to listen to them all over again and make my "cheat sheet" that he lets us bring in to the test.

I have never been a very good study-er. Ya, I made that word up. I'm hoping that blogging and making this more of an experiment will make me stick to it.

If you want you can comment and let me know how you study! It might help me bring up my grades, not that they really need it, but every bit helps!

Please help me you guys! I'll be looking up habits and things like that on the inter web and I'll be trying them out and reporting to you how I feel they worked or did not work for me.

Stay tuned and see if you learn something!!

I hope you guys have a great night.

Some advice: keep the flame of curiosity and wonderment alive, even when studying for boring exams. That is the well from which we scientists draw our nourishment and energy. And also, learn the math. Math is the language of nature, so we have to learn this language.

Life Changes

The year 2018 was not a good year for me. Two things that will send someone into a crippling depression happened to me... As I am still healing from this most recent one, I don't want to go into much detail. But for the rest of this post to make sense you'll need to know that Vincent and I are no longer together, after 8 years.. As time goes by I expect I will be able to open up about it. The past few years I have been stagnant. I still started a Master's program and got a new job as a manager, but I was just existing. I wasn't actually living my life. At the beginning of October I started a 6 week fitness challenge at a CrossFit gym in town. I lost 15 pounds and began to love myself again. But I still wasn't happy. It took the earth shattering, heart breaking, event to make me realize that I needed to do something about the way I have been living. I was one of those people who got up, went to work, came home and sat on the couch watching TV and waiting for the ...

Positivity

Warning : There is rambling. We are asked the same question over and over again while we become adults: When we are younger we say things like: Race car driver and Magician! Little do we know that our ideas on what we want to be in the future rarely stick. When I was a child I wanted to be a teacher, I think it was because I loved school and I respected my teachers, I looked up to them.  But as time went on, school wasn't so much fun anymore, it was more about discipline and our times tables. (You know, the hard stuff). I didn't like my teachers as much as I used to, so my dream of being a teacher changed pretty quickly. Of course, as I got older my dream job kept changing, it wasn't until my 13th birthday that I found the thing that stuck, Photography. My step dad bought me a Canon (I know, I know, gross) for my birthday. I took so many pictures!! And I was sure that photography was my thing, no one else's. ...

American Ninja Warrior

Hey everyone! I hope everyone is having a great summer! Did you notice something different about tonight's post? Well, if you are an avid reader, I'm sure you have. Tonight's post's title is not a Coldplay song. (That sentence came out weird). I'm sitting here next to my mother watching a TV show called "American Ninja Warrior" Have you guys seen this show?? In my opinion it is Wipeout on steroids. Now, I'm sure the competitors aren't on steroids, it's just an expression. People from all over the country train for years (no joke) to get a shot at a million dollars. They go through these crazy obstacles trying to get the best time for completing the course. The top ten competitors from the semi-finals compete at "Mount Midoriyama" in Japan, which is the "birth place" of Ninja Warrior. I'm posting a short video so you guys can see what I'm talking about.   Check this out This show is truly amazing, s...
