Long Time

Hey everyone!

It's been a very long time since I've written on here. This year so many things have changed!

Vincent moved in with me at the end of December 2016, it has been going super great! I love waking up to him every morning (except when I work graves of course).

I can't believe its been 8 months since we made that giant leap in our relationship, things have been moving along so smoothly.

At the end of February I became a Mary Kay Independent Beauty Consultant! Let me tell you, I was so nervous at first.

The starter kit was $100 and it came with over $400 worth of product in it, so NO BRAINER, I signed up.

I signed up wondering if I could make any money in the business of skin care and cosmetics, and I soon found out I could when at my first party I sold over $300 of product!

Quickly I decided to invest in my business and milk it for all that I could, honestly, it hasn't been unrewarding.

I've had so much personal growth, it's insane. I began to see my confidence and self worth sky rocket, as well as my public speaking skills.

I intend to work this business as hard and long as I possibly can, there is so much in it for everyone. But enough of Mary Kay for this post, there will be more about it later.

The main thing I want to mention in my newer posts is my journey with weight loss. Now I know you've probably seen 1,000 blogs about weight loss. Quick easy schemes, no dairy diets and all that nonsense.

I'm not going to write about that. I'm going to talk about my personal journey. I started working out in the beginning of January. I would go to the gym with Vincent every now and then.

As a few weeks passed, we made it a goal to go to the gym at least three times a week, and we did, for the most part.

As even more time passed, I wasn't happy with the poor results I was receiving. So in the beginning of February I became serious. I got a personal trainer and I began to meet with him once a week.

After my first month, we did my measurements again and saw that in that one month, I had lost almost 3 inches around my waist. I was so excited. After all this time of being unhealthy, I was finally getting where I wanted to go.

Month after month, I would see little changes here and there, and in total, I've lost 6 inches around my waist and 3 inches around my forearm! It's kinda crazy.

Recently, I haven't been seeing any changes. Overall, there hasn't been any weight loss because I'm just gaining muscle. But lately, there hasn't been changes on any front.

As you can guess, after 8 months of working out, I'd like to see a much bigger difference. I keep getting told that the reason for my lack of changes recently is because of the way I'm eating.

I'm determined to make small changes in what I eat/drink, not huge ones, and still get my desired results. This is because if I cut out dairy, wheat, sugar and everything else, I won't be eating enough and once I achieve my desired results, I'll go back to eating like I normally do and end up in the same place.

I have a Starbucks addiction. Like a bad one, so I have decided to cut down my Starbucks to one a week. Cut out fast food completely (which will be easy for me, I think), and take up a new workout regimen.

My trainer told me that in order to lose 1 inch around my arm (my goal at the moment) I need to do a certain workout for 15 minutes, daily.

After one week he wants me to up the workout to 30 minutes daily.

This workout is mostly cardio, with a little bit of arms. I start by doing one minute on the cybex, then 30 seconds pulling on the rope and finish it off with another 30 seconds pulling the rope up and do these three things repeatedly.

Now that you're sort of caught up, I've been doing this work out for 3 days now and holy cow does it wipe me out!

I never would have guessed but by the end I'm completely wiped out! My arms barely want to work at the end and I can't catch my breath. I can't wait to start seeing some change in my endurance with this work out.

If you guys have any questions on my weight loss journey or Mary Kay please let me know!

Life In Technicolor

I'm writing tonight's post to the song 'Life in Technicolor II' By Coldplay. I forgot how much I enjoy Coldplay. They can put me in such a relaxed mood. Almost perfect for writing. I've had a pretty bland day. I got up around 11am, which is way later than I wanted to get up.. I used my color chart, which told me I should wear lavender on Mondays.. It helps me get dressed faster in the morning ha. Anyway, I took my finals today.. It went bad for accounting, but I didn't really expect any different. Cheers to taking that class a third time! I'm not stupid I swear. I just lacked conviction lately. Which will change. My math final went pretty well..Matching graphs to equations is my downfall so I'm sure I missed a few points there, I passed the class though! When I got home I realized that I had the rest of my day to myself, some people love that feeling, nothing to do. I'm not like others, I prefer to be busy, keeps my mind off things. One of...

Not Like The Movies

College is not what people think it is. In movies it's shown as one BIG party. Lots of hot people, drinking and parties. My experience in college has been somewhat like a party but nothing like college in movies. When I first moved into my dorm I expected my roommate to be my best friend and go everywhere with me. That is not the case, my roommate and I talk, but we don't go everywhere together. Honestly sometimes it can even be awkward when we are left in the same room together. My first night at the dorm I met the other girls that I share a suite with. They looked like the typical preppy girls, mean girls if I may. Turns out that they weren't as bad as I had originally thought they were. That night we went to a tye dye party. We were given a T-shirt and we could go dip our shirts in big buckets of dye. There was music blasting and people dancing in the bright colorful lights. "This is college" I thought. This is going to be so much fun. The dance was ...

Week 3 - Good Morning!

Goooooood Morning! I'm going to come right out with it. I have not been doing great at getting up early. That's because over the weekend, I decided that what I wanted to do with my extra time, was cuddle with my fiancé. It was late mornings from there. BUT! Here I am, at 6:30am, writing to you. It's not all bad! I'm up earlier than usual. Positive thinking right? Had an amazing weekend, had a photoshoot with some women I didn't really know and we pretended we were in a Coven for Halloween, I'll attach some stuff for you to look at. 👀 And as always life is busy busy busy, but I'm choosing to look at it as "productive".  I always like ticking something off my list!  Next list to start working on, my wedding planning list. Who would have thought there was SO much to getting married! 😅 I hope you enjoyed the small snippet I shared! Comment and tell me what you thought!
