Self - Improvement : A Work in Progress

Hey guys! I almost didn't write tonight, but I decided that it was more important to talk to you than sleep. Tonight was awesome. It was a school event called "Paint the Town Red". They close off Main Street and they hire a band, give out free food, you can pet exotic animals and join clubs! Tonight I got to pet a hedge hog! Like a real one! It was so cute! Hello once again my readers! I get to talk to you two times today? Lucky me!! I spent all day with my friend Anderson today, it was pretty fun but it was irresponsible. I had some reading that I was supposed to do, I have to do it tomorrow. Along with some other things that I've been putting off. Like sweeping, vacuuming, dishes, unpacking from California. And I should also get my homework done. I have two assignments due on Wednesday. One of them is done though, just have to make it neater. Looks like tomorrow will be a productive day! One of my mother's friends reads my blog now too. I hope she reads this because she will know who she is. But it made my day knowing that she enjoyed reading my rambling. So this is a new thing for me, day writing! No, there is no special occasion. I'm on campus for class and my friend Anderson texted me asking if I wanted to have lunch at 2pm with him in our uh...cafeteria? My university doesn't have one but thats the most accurate description. I got out of class at 1pm and I don't feel like driving home only to come back and fight with parking, in just a couple minutes. Plus, if I went home right now I would probably eat. I'm pretty hungry. Oh so guess what! I've really committed to this eating healthy thing! This morning I woke up and made myself a fruit smoothie thingy majigy. I blended ice, peaches, strawberries and bananas. Then! Between classes I went to the gym and walked/ran for 40 minutes. So ya, I'm doing well! Hopefully I can keep it up. Hey guys! I know its been something like two weeks since I posted, which I apologize for. My trip back home was for more than a vacation. I went home to California to see my grandma, she'll be 97 in December and she has really bad Dementia. I was told by my family that I needed to see her because they didn't know how much longer she will be around. It was such a long drive, but I had my support system, my boyfriend, with me. It made the drive fun and the visit with my grandma not so heart breaking. I ended up seeing her twice, I made my father, her son, go with me to see her. He probably wouldn't have gone if it wasn't for me talking him into it. This post was supposed to be a short one, I wanted to be in bed by 10pm Utah time but that probably won't happen. Friday, two days before I was leaving for Utah I woke up with a really sore throat.. As usual, today's title is from a song I'm listening to, by Coldplay, as always haha. Sorry I didn't write yesterday. I worked all day and when I got home I packed for my trip home to California! That's right! I got up at 6am and left for Cali at 8am! got here at 1pm. Or 2pm Utah time. My boyfriend came over, we picked up his brother, had lunch and saw the new TMNT movie. Before I go further into that, I am not feeling good today, I'm not sure if it's allergies or a cold but I took a Wal-dryl before the movie, which I also watched after getting 4 hours sleep and driving for 7 hours straight. So as I'm sure you have probably guessed, I fell asleep during part of the movie..I'm not a huge  fan of the ninja turtles either. It was an ok movie but I think it was for certain types of people: TMNT fanatics, kids or Megan Fox lovers. I am none of those things. Get situated before you start reading, this is going to be a long one. My uncle and I went to Bryce Canyon today. If you haven't gone before, you really should! It is so beautiful. There is a canyon before Bryce..I think it's called Red Canyon, GORGEOUS. Makes the drive worth it. Here check out Bryce: After that we decided we wanted some food. So we headed to my work, but on the way to my work we went through Zion National Park. Which is another must see. I didn't take many pictures there but I do have a picture of a goat for you guys! Tonight I don't plan on writing a lot. This day took so much out of me. I didn't wake up when I wanted to but I still managed to shower before starting my 50 mile drive to work. And yes, I do drive all that way every time I have to work. Oh! reason behind my title. I'm definitely listening to Burning Down the House by the the Talking Heads. You know it, and if you don't, shame on you, look it up. Anyway when I got to work today I was supposed to be hosting (seating people). But it got so busy, and the servers can only handle so many tables. When each server had 6 tables they made me go serve too. I like serving because of the money but I really just wanted a break. It is a lot of work. And for all you Mr. Pinks out there, you better tip, and be nice to your waitress. You don't understand the stress until you've done it. So I took three tables and made $14 in about an hour. When the rush was over I was allowed to go back to hosting, thank goodness. W...

I'm writing tonight's post to the song 'Life in Technicolor II' By Coldplay. I forgot how much I enjoy Coldplay. They can put me in such a relaxed mood. Almost perfect for writing. I've had a pretty bland day. I got up around 11am, which is way later than I wanted to get up.. I used my color chart, which told me I should wear lavender on Mondays.. It helps me get dressed faster in the morning ha. Anyway, I took my finals today.. It went bad for accounting, but I didn't really expect any different. Cheers to taking that class a third time! I'm not stupid I swear. I just lacked conviction lately. Which will change. My math final went pretty well..Matching graphs to equations is my downfall so I'm sure I missed a few points there, I passed the class though! So it has been a long time since I've written on here.. I'm still going to the school of my dreams ---Not doing so well, but what can I do? I'm trying to have more fun though, I believe I talked about doing things that I wouldn't normally do in one of my previous posts... like two years ago. Anyway! I decided to join the ballroom team at my school. I took lessons from one of the friends I made in the dorms, and I ended up actually making the team I had to try out with a bunch of girls and I actually made it. It was quite the experience. I never thought that I could be a dancer, but it was something that I really wanted to do. so I went for it. I was on the team for a year! I performed on a huge stage in front of thousands of people and made friends, lots of them.Without ballroom I wouldn't have nay friends right now. So I am very grateful.
