Nightmares

Hello! I hope you all had a wonderful night, and a wonderful week so far. I want to talk about something that has been happening to me lately... The passed few months I have not been able to remember my dreams when I woke up, and I was pretty sad about it... BUT  I would rather not remember them than have nightmares! Which is what has been happening lately. I wonder why that is. You're perfectly happy and suddenly your brain is like "but what if this happened?!" No. No brain, this hypothetical nightmare scape you've created would literally never happen, ever.  So what's the deal with this? Someone explain to me the science behind a vengeful brain. Like I said before, I would rather go back to not remembering them if this is the alternative. 😂 Anyway, I hope you all are having wonderful dreams, and you're not being attacked by wild, scary dreams with no data to back up its images 😂😂 Please let me know in the comments below if you have way to escape bad drea...

Wedding Planning

Good morning everyone! I hope you're all doing well! Quick note, I'm changing the naming convention of my posts, again.. I'm still waking up a bit earlier though! I fell off a little, but, I'm slowly making it back to 6 am. Does anyone have any tips on how to get out of my cool, crisp, amazingly comfy bed in the morning? As most of you who read my blog already know, I'm engaged, to my best friend! (Who I mentioned years ago on here..) And well, we're planning our wedding! 165 days to go! And as that countdown number gets smaller, my anxiety gets higher and higher, there is still SO MUCH left to plan.  My main focus right now is florals, did you guys know how expensive flowers are? It's probably one of the most expensive individual parts so far (not including the venue). I need a few tips on talking to florists, and how to get the most bang for my buck. Help wanted. 😂 I'll be emailing florists here shortly so any help I can get would be appreciated.  I ...

Week 3 - Good Morning!

Goooooood Morning! I'm going to come right out with it. I have not been doing great at getting up early. That's because over the weekend, I decided that what I wanted to do with my extra time, was cuddle with my fiancé. It was late mornings from there. BUT! Here I am, at 6:30am, writing to you. It's not all bad! I'm up earlier than usual. Positive thinking right? Had an amazing weekend, had a photoshoot with some women I didn't really know and we pretended we were in a Coven for Halloween, I'll attach some stuff for you to look at. 👀 And as always life is busy busy busy, but I'm choosing to look at it as "productive".  I always like ticking something off my list!  Next list to start working on, my wedding planning list. Who would have thought there was SO much to getting married! 😅 I hope you enjoyed the small snippet I shared! Comment and tell me what you thought!

Week 2 - Thursday

Hello! It's another early morning for me. Setting my alarm before 6, just so I can snooze it a few times has been working.  I've managed to get out of bed by 6:10-6:15, and I still find myself thinking that it isn't enough time to do what I want to do. I need to start getting up earlier but I want to master 6am before I attempt anything earlier. What do you think? This week I asked my friends on social media what time they get up, and why. A majority of the people who answered were already getting up at 7am or as early as 4am! But what I found was that only 2 of them were doing it for themselves. About 99% of them were getting up early for a work commute or their children, and there's nothing wrong with that at all. I personally think that as long as you're productive when you wake up, that's all that matters.  When you have kids it makes it a bit more difficult to wake up and spend an hour or so just on yourself. My friend who is keeping me accountable, has 2 ...

Week 2 - Monday Morning!

Good Morning lovelies and happy Monday! I hope you all had a wonderful weekend, I know I did 😀 Got up early again this morning, after sleeping in a bit over the weekend. It was a bit harder this morning.  The next thing I'm going to start trying is setting my alarms a bit earlier, because I like to be able to hit snooze and sleep a bit longer.  My conversation with Joel went really well, and I'm looking forward to continuing our professional relationship. I feel like I learned a lot from him, and would like to learn more of course! My life has been crazy lately, and I'm finding it to be extremely beneficial for me to wake up early and get some things taken care of. What have you guys been doing in your life that you count as win? Any new routines you've implemented? Short, sweet, and to the point I hope! Have a wonderful day, and start to your week!

Week 1 - Day 4

Good morning, good morning! I can’t believe that it’s Thursday already! Waking up early has been a bit more difficult than I expected.  I’ll admit it again, I have flaws. 6am seems to be too early for me, but 6:20…6:20 is an acceptable time… For some reason those 20 extra minutes are extremely important to half-asleep me. I’m going to have to work harder when it comes to getting up at 6. Do you guys have any suggestions? Unrelated but, I do have some exciting news! When I first decided to start getting up early, I searched on Spotify “getting up early” and came across an episode from “How to Money” that had a guest called “5am Joel”. For those who want to listen, the title of the episode is “Waking Up Early and Intentional Living with 5am Joel #154”. I listened to the episode hoping to gain some insight and in turn, I became motivated to start blogging again and living my life intentionally. Joel spoke about a morning email that he puts out, sort of a way to keep himself acco...

Week 1- Day 2 - Waking up Early

Good morning, everyone! I hope you all had an amazing weekend. Well, my week started off a little rocky. I got up 20 minutes late yesterday, and I feel like it threw off my whole day. I couldn’t do all the things I wanted to accomplish.  I was able to wash my face, listen to my podcast for the day, and put on some Halloween nails, because who doesn’t love the spooky season right? I couldn’t write my blog post for Monday, journal, or write in my Positive Journal. But that’s okay! Mistakes happen, that is just part of growing as a person. I think it is important to note that every process is not a straight line, and that is okay. Life just doesn’t work that way. With that being said, I did get up on time this morning!  So far, my morning routine is finding a podcast while I lay in bed a bit longer, and once that is found, I’ll get up to wash my face. I think washing my face helps wake me up a bit.  After that, I will try to tackle everything I wanted to do. So this morning,...

Self - Improvement : A Work in Progress

After years of wanting something that I never fully went after, I'm turning over a new leaf.  It's time that I took time for myself, to learn, read, and do what I want to. In the past, I have spoken about my goal to start waking up at 5am, I was never able to stick with it. I have once again realized that you dont' just get better at things by wanting to be better, you have to make the conscious decision, and take steps toward self-improvement. In my downtime, I have been listening to podcasts about Love, Happiness, Depression, Money Decisions, Project Management, all things that I would like to learn more about. And it has been extremely inspirational. I think I have failed in the past because it was too drastic of a change, I went from staying up till 1am, to trying to get myself to bed at 9. It didn't work. But this time, this time is different. I have been going to sleep early for almost a year now, because my fiancé, must wake up at 3/4am every day for work. I saw ...

Announcement

Hey everyone, Wow, things have been crazy for me the past few years. I have been keeping a secret from many of you since October 2019. And I think that I am now ready to tell you guys what has been going on in my life. Please don't be offended if you're one of the many who are finding out from this post. I only told a few close people, or told people when I felt that it was necessary. My whole life I've been getting migraines, but around 2013 they came almost daily. I was even brought to the ER once because I was in so much pain that I couldn't walk or open my eyes. My migraines just got worse from there. I had headaches so frequently, that I began to feel bad for missing out on things.  I even started to feel like my family and friends thought I was lying when I told them I had a headache. I'm sure they didn't, but I felt like the girl who cried wolf, minus the lying part, if that makes sense.  In October of 2019, I started to experience some interesting things...

Life Changes

The year 2018 was not a good year for me. Two things that will send someone into a crippling depression happened to me... As I am still healing from this most recent one, I don't want to go into much detail. But for the rest of this post to make sense you'll need to know that Vincent and I are no longer together, after 8 years.. As time goes by I expect I will be able to open up about it. The past few years I have been stagnant. I still started a Master's program and got a new job as a manager, but I was just existing. I wasn't actually living my life. At the beginning of October I started a 6 week fitness challenge at a CrossFit gym in town. I lost 15 pounds and began to love myself again. But I still wasn't happy. It took the earth shattering, heart breaking, event to make me realize that I needed to do something about the way I have been living. I was one of those people who got up, went to work, came home and sat on the couch watching TV and waiting for the ...

Bad Day

Thursday was NOT a good day for me. It was the one day of the week that I get to work out with my trainer. Since we haven't measured me in awhile, we decided it was time to see my progress. Now before I get into that, I knew it wasn't going to be good, I have been traveling a lot this summer and eating...not so great. Vincent and I haven't been making many meals either because we have been in the process of house hunting, packing and moving. Which by the way, we start moving this Sunday! Anyway, I warned my trainer before the actual measurements that it wasn't going to be good. And it wasn't. Just as I had expected, I had gained a few inches around just about every part of my body and a whomping 4 pounds. Which almost put me back to where I started in January. BUT There was a slight silver lining. I had gained more muscle. So not all of the weight I gained was fat. Thank goodness. I honestly was really upset by this, and my trainer could tell. So h...

Long Time

Hey everyone! It's been a very long time since I've written on here. This year so many things have changed! Vincent moved in with me at the end of December 2016, it has been going super great! I love waking up to him every morning (except when I work graves of course). I can't believe its been 8 months since we made that giant leap in our relationship, things have been moving along so smoothly. At the end of February I became a Mary Kay Independent Beauty Consultant! Let me tell you, I was so nervous at first. The starter kit was $100 and it came with over $400 worth of product in it, so NO BRAINER, I signed up. I signed up wondering if I could make any money in the business of skin care and cosmetics, and I soon found out I could when at my first party I sold over $300 of product! Quickly I decided to invest in my business and milk it for all that I could, honestly, it hasn't been unrewarding. I've had so much personal growth, it's insane. I beg...

Positivity

Warning : There is rambling. We are asked the same question over and over again while we become adults: When we are younger we say things like: Race car driver and Magician! Little do we know that our ideas on what we want to be in the future rarely stick. When I was a child I wanted to be a teacher, I think it was because I loved school and I respected my teachers, I looked up to them.  But as time went on, school wasn't so much fun anymore, it was more about discipline and our times tables. (You know, the hard stuff). I didn't like my teachers as much as I used to, so my dream of being a teacher changed pretty quickly. Of course, as I got older my dream job kept changing, it wasn't until my 13th birthday that I found the thing that stuck, Photography. My step dad bought me a Canon (I know, I know, gross) for my birthday. I took so many pictures!! And I was sure that photography was my thing, no one else's. ...

Commenting

Good afternoon! Sorry I didn't write yesterday about my "secret". What I wanted to tell you yesterday didn't end up happening. BUT! It should be happening soon so I will tell you as soon as it does happen, blogger's promise. I don't think bloggers promise is a thing, but we will make it a thing! Lately I've been hearing from some friends that you can't comment, and that the site won't let you. Today, I'm going to tell you how to comment step-by-step with pictures. First you want to obviously be on the post that you wish to comment on.  The picture right below this is what the comment box looks like. It will be a little different for you because you're not the admin of this blog. :) You want to click on the drop down menu where it says "Comment as:" Like this: Then click the option that says "Name/URL". If you want to be Anonymous, you can, but I prefer to know who I'm talking to. It will the...

American Ninja Warrior

Hey everyone! I hope everyone is having a great summer! Did you notice something different about tonight's post? Well, if you are an avid reader, I'm sure you have. Tonight's post's title is not a Coldplay song. (That sentence came out weird). I'm sitting here next to my mother watching a TV show called "American Ninja Warrior" Have you guys seen this show?? In my opinion it is Wipeout on steroids. Now, I'm sure the competitors aren't on steroids, it's just an expression. People from all over the country train for years (no joke) to get a shot at a million dollars. They go through these crazy obstacles trying to get the best time for completing the course. The top ten competitors from the semi-finals compete at "Mount Midoriyama" in Japan, which is the "birth place" of Ninja Warrior. I'm posting a short video so you guys can see what I'm talking about.   Check this out This show is truly amazing, s...

Coldplay

So if you pay attention to my blog, you may have noticed that I mention the band Coldplay A LOT. All my posts so far have been named after a Coldplay song..(minus maybe 2) This is for a couple reasons, Coldplay is my favorite band, I listen to them at least once a day. Some times I listen to them all day. It differs, like it probably does with your favorite bands. I have heard some upsetting things about them though, for instance, Family Guy makes fun of them quite often. Calls them a band that white males listen to, specifically teenagers. And people are always saying that they are just awful. I'm here to change your mind based off just the good things the band has done, as members of the community, not so much a band. Coldplay began making music in 1998, and from their very start, they have been giving 10% of everything they make to charity. Also, in 2009 they were "carbon neutral" during one of their concerts. Coldplay funded a wind farm to supply most of t...

Fix you

Hey guys! It's been awhile. I'll try to get back into my every day posting. Now that I'm on summer break, I have a little more extra time to do my rambling. Not going to lie, I'm not having a good day. Started out great, woke up to the man of my dreams, Vincent of course. And I went to have lunch with my mom and dad. After lunch, I went to train at my "new" job. I used to work at this radio station before I moved to Utah and they agreed to let me work for them during my summer back in California. They trained me on board oping, meaning I'm the person that connects the radio station to the people out in the town doing remotes. After that I walked down the street to this cute little coffee shop and waited for Vince to come pick me up, and have coffee with me. We made lunch, played some video games and then he went to school, California schools start summer a little bit later than me. After he left, not only did the day get duller, but it also w...

In Your Eyes

I apologize that the title of this blog is not a Coldplay song, this time it's a Peter Gabriel song from 1986.  This is probably my favorite love song.. And yes, it is because of the John Cusack movie, Say Anything.  Also, my favorite love story.  It really fits my life with Vince.  We love each other but I had to move. But enough of that, I bet you're wondering how all the studying worked for me!  I more than doubled my last test score. I got a 67% on that test. I know, it's not the best score.  But like I said, I more than doubled my last score. So I'm proud of that.  Now for this next test in Business Law, I've been reading and listening to the lectures before the day that the professor goes over it in class. That way it's more of a review in class. Then, before the next test, which is the 11th, I'll listen to all the lectures again. Hopefully two more times.  Anyway, that's all I have for today, have a great night and let me know if you have a...

Daylight

Hey guys! I'm sorry it has been so long. I got really busy with, uhm.. I'm not entirely sure. I would say school but I haven't been doing anything responsible.. Guess I kinda hit this depression that took me off the grid for a while, I'm not letting myself go any further into my black hole though. I am making myself be productive, I quit my job and now I have to get back on the horse'o life! So! I've decided that the main reason my depression hit is because I haven't been getting sleep or eating healthy. Ive been wasting my time on tv shows like The Vampire Diaries, Doctor Who, The Walking Dead, Revenge and Cutthroat Kitchen. No more tv for me, well, in moderation. I am pulling an all nighter, that way I can get my sleep schedule back on track. Tonight I will but studying and cleaning my apartment, I let it get out of hand. Also! You guys might enjoy this, I am going to try out new ways of studying to see which ways work the best. I've al...

Static

So today I don't have any music, I forgot my headphones.. Sad day. I'm in a pretty ticked off mood right now, one of my friends decided to flip out on me for no reason. Then decided to be all super sexist in the conversation we were having. He said "Just because you have a [fill in the blank] doesn't mean you get special treatment over my other friends." Excuse me? Not only did you not say anything about your other friends previously but I NEVER said "Hey I'm female, do what I want." or anything close to that. This all started because I wanted him to have breakfast with me. Nowhere in our conversation was gender mentioned and he just came at me with this. I think he was completely wrong and out of line by assuming that I thought he had to have breakfast with me because I'm a female. Some people really piss me off. Quick being so damn sexist for no reason. It wasn't needed. Also, my readers probably know me better than this guy d...
